Nubuntu เป็น Distro ที่พัฒนาจาก Ubuntu โดยใช้ Window manager เป็น FluxBox โดยจะมีโปรแกรม security ต่างๆ และโปรแกรม hack ด้วย
สำหรับโปรแกรมที่ไม่ได้เกี่ยวกับ security,hacking จะตัดออกเช่น Gnome(ใช้ FluxBox), OpenOffice.org, Evolution
